Pamakids are all over the races, from track to cross-country to ultras, but what about a series that tests your speed, hill-climbing, donut-eating, and Pamakid-camaraderie skills all in one?

To win the awesome Pama-prize and make your mark in this series, you must be a Pamakid and finish with a point total in the top 20 of participants (likely will require 3–4 events or 7–9 points or more).

This is our club’s oldest annual tradition. In honor of our founders, Betty and Pat Cuneen, we meet at Lake Merced for an intra-club race, fun run/Easter egg hunt for the kids , and then enjoy a catered meal in the Park Merced Boathouse overlooking the lake. We have prizes for our race winners, and we present the annual Pat Cunneen Lifetime Achievement Award.

This event is a perfect opportunity for our newest members to meet everyone and mingle.

Our holiday party brings us all back together after an intense racing season to celebrate the successes of the year. Recently, the venue has been the Peacock Lounge (an iconic private nightclub in The Haight). We enjoy a catered meal, open bar, games for our kids, and maybe an ugly sweater competition. Also, our race directors award our fastest and most worthy runners for the year. We round up our evening with music and dancing.

Trail information: This is an out-and-back route, a little over 9 miles total. This is an easy route with very little elevation, and it's not technical. No dogs allowed (sadly). There's only one trail, so if you're on your own, you can't really get lost if you stay on the trail.

Aprés run/hike: Bring some snacks, drinks, and some camping chairs and a blanket and we'll have a picnic before heading back home.

Wildlife: Besides the bountiful wildflowers, you'll see Tule elk, seals on the beach (from afar), and some (not-so-wild) cows along the way.

Other info: This is a Mother's Day run. This might not work for everyone, but a few mothers requested the date, so we're going with it. If you want to come along, but think your kids might not be able to handle the 9-mile out-and-back, you can turn around any time, and look around at the historic Pierce Point Ranch at the trailhead. There is also McClure's Beach just a short way down from the trailhead.

Right around the winter solstice, the Pamakids and friends hike up to the peak of Mt. Tam to see the sunrise. After enjoying the sunrise we jog down for a potluck picnic in Mill Valley.

We start with a 5K Run, followed by a 1m kids run, then great food, music, and more!
